Apostle Maria José Boyd, along with her late husband Michael Boyd, founded Capstone Ministries in July 1993. After relocating to Las Vegas in 2000, the ministry was renamed Capstone Ministries International. She was ordained in 1994 by Bishop Roy Young of Faith Prayer Churches in Springfield, Ohio.
Following Michael's passing in 2019, Apostle Maria found strength in her faith to continue their shared mission.
Based in Las Vegas, she remains devoted to the calling God entrusted to them, honoring her husband's legacy while forging her own path in ministry.

Capstone Ministries International Africa
Capstone Ministries International-Africa began with a simple email approximately fourteen years ago from a young pastor in Kenya inquiring about the cost to receive teachings from
CMI. My reply too, was simple, "Freely I have received, freely I give." That was the start of an amazing relationship.
Fourteen years later we have grown into an amazing ministry with over thirty churches spanning three countries;
Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, known as Capstone Ministries International-Africa, under the leadership of the young pastor who originally contacted me; Pastor Ibrahim Anyona Otieno.
Additionally, we have an orphanage in Kenya, CMI-Orphanage and Academy which houses approximately 32 children at this time, which he also oversees.
